Badung Regency is a regency located in Bali, Indonesia, with its regency seat in Mangupura. It forms the primary tourism and economic hub of the island and serves as the largest suburban region within Greater Denpasar.

Conservation & Culture

  • Bali Starling Breeding Center: On November 8, 2011, a breeding facility for the endangered Bali Starling (Leucopsar rothschildi) was inaugurated in Sibang, Abiansemal (located within the Green School area). The center began with an initial population of 73 birds—sourced from European zoos, Jurong Bird Park in Singapore, and local conservation programs—aiming to breed and eventually release them back into wild protected habitats across Bali.
