Barong dance

The
Barong and Kris dance performance.
Batubulan is located in Gianyar
regency and around 15 minutes from Sanur/Denpasar.
This village is welknown as a place of Barong
and Kris dance performance and stone carving
center. The Barong dance star at 09.30 AM and
finish at 10.30 AM (1 hour performance). The
Barong play represent an eternal fighting between
good and evil spirit. A Barong (a mythological
animal) represent good spirit and Rangda (a mythological
monster) represent the evil one. Balinese people
also believe that the Barong is symbol of protector.
There are many kinds face of barong but mostly
are Barong Ket (lion face), Barong Macan (tiger
face), Barong Bangkal (pig face) and Barong Landung
(human face). The ticket
cost for this performance at 50.000 rupiah/person.
Then the trip continued to visit Balinese house
compound at Batuan Village

Ubud
Arts Market and Ubud Palace
the Ubud arts market and Ubud palace
located exactly in central Ubud. There are various
of handicrafts, arts and other souvenirs with reasonable
price. the Ubud Palace is just on the oposite of
the market. Every evening usually performed traditional
Balinese dance in this place such as Legong dance,
Barong dance, Ramayana and Mahabharata ballet.

The wood carving village name's Mas
village and Kemenuh village, both village produce very
good quality of wood carving made from very hard wood
such as teak, mahogany, ebony, and hibiscus wood. all
the wood imported from Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi and
Borneo (Kalimantan). Painter village name's Batuan
and Lod Tunduh village . The artist on this village
created a lot of variety of painting even in modern
or traditional style.

Empul Temple
Tirta Empul temple is located at
Tampak Siring village. The location is a valey surrounded
by higher landscape and on the west side of the temple
is Tampak Siring Palace (Indonesian President's Palace).
The name of Tirta Empul is on an epigraphy and at
this moment stored at Sakenan temple at Manukaya
village around 3 kms from Tirta Empul temple. Tirta
Empul is come from two words those are; Tirta and
Empul. Tirta its mean holy water and Empul its mean
spurt. So Tirta Empul is mean the source of holy
water spurting from the ground (earth). Then in 10th
century the King Indrajayasinghawarmadewa arrange
the source of holy water become a holy pond with
the name Tirta Empul.

Kintamani
Volcano
Kintamani is a mountain ring in Bali
with very amazing of Batur mount and Batur lake view.
Lake Batur surrounded by several old village suc as;
Songan, Batur, Kedisan, Buahan and Trunyan village
on the oposite side of the lake. Trunyan is welknown
as an Unique Bali Aga. They have own culture and unique
lifestyle different from Balinese generally. Batur
lake is a biggest lake in Bali and as water source
for Balinese. Total wide of the lake is 16 square kilometers
and the deep around 65 meters. Mount Batur has erupted
24 times since 1800 and the biggest eruption was in
1917, more than 1000 people dead and destroy around
2500 temples. Mount Batur is 1717 high on the sea level.
After here the trip continued to Bali coffee plantation
and procession.

very light wood with reasonable price. they do sell
their handicrafts for retail too. No entrance fee cost. |
